'The Rock' plans return to action films

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is ready to be back in action.

The former pro wrestler says he's looking forward to returning to more physical roles after filming four family comedies. That includes his latest, "Tooth Fairy," in which he wears tights and a pink tutu.

Johnson says this year he'll film "Faster," an action flick directed by George Tillman and co-starring Billy Bob Thornton and Maggie Grace .

Johnson spoke this week in Mexico City, where he is promoting "Tooth Fairy."

Boulder to honor Baldwin

Boulder International Film Festival organizers say actor Alec Baldwin will be the featured guest at the sixth annual event. The festival runs Feb. 11-15, and Baldwin is scheduled to receive the 2010 Award for Excellence in Acting on Feb. 14.

The star of "30 Rock" is co-hosting the Academy Awards in Los Angeles on March 7 with actor Steve Martin .

Shepherd's son charged in theft

The son of actress Cybill Shepherd has been charged with stealing from fellow airplane passengers during a cross-country flight.

Police say 22-year-old Cyrus Shepherd-Oppenheim was arrested in Philadelphia on Tuesday around midnight after the United Airlines plane arrived from San Francisco.

Police say witnesses identified him as the man who allegedly stole cash, a digital camera, leather makeup case and small travel bag from two passengers' carry-on luggage.

He is the son of Shepherd and chiropractor Bruce Oppenheim, who divorced in 1989.

Lloyd Webber treated for cancer

Andrew Lloyd Webber says he has been successfully treated for prostate cancer.

The composer of "The Phantom of the Opera," "Evita" and "Jesus Christ Superstar" says he is now "fighting fit" after the operation to remove his prostate gland and later battling an E.coli infection.

Lloyd Webber first revealed his thoughts in a health diary published over the weekend in the (London) Mail and later posted on his Web site.

The 61-year-old composer said, "I will need regular follow-up checks over the years, but we have arrived — at the end of a long journey — at the best possible outcome."
