Tour The Eagle
We would love to provide a tour of The Wichita Eagle to your school, community group or other organization. The tour will allow guests to see how the newspaper is transformed from a reel of newsprint to a “daily miracle” of information.
The tour should take no longer than one hour depending on the size of your group. We have a few guidelines to follow as you prepare for the tour. Please take the time to go over them and discuss them with your group. If you have any other questions or concerns you can call us at (316) 268-6564 or email at nie@wichitaeagle.com.
- Group tours are limited to a maximum of 30 guests.
- To ensure the safety of all those on tour, we require that everyone in attendance is age 6 or older.
- The tour must take place Tuesday-Thursday between 9:30 am and 3:00 pm. We are not available to conduct tours on holidays or weekends.
- Because the tour involves extensive walking throughout the facility, including stairs, please notify in advance of any individuals who may need assistance.
- All guests must follow rules while in the building so that a quiet, professional working environment is maintained.
- Guests are NOT allowed to touch any equipment unless the tour guide gives them permission to do so. Guests will see different pieces of equipment that can be dangerous.
- Please arrive promptly at your scheduled tour time.
- If you are arriving by bus, you can have the students dropped off at the entrance on the south side of the building. The buses then must park in the south end of the parking lot.
- If you are arriving in private vehicles, please park in the designated visitor’s parking spots.
