The engine came from the factory without an oil filter, so I came up with this piece of engineering to go on the oil pump feed-side ahead of the distribution valve. Oil exits through the horizontal fitting, through a filter and returns through the vertical fitting where it continues its flow through the valve. This created a couple of clearance issues, but nothing that can't be fixed.
