One of the reasons they were called "modifieds" is apparent in this rear view of Wolf's No. 15 -- the 1931 Model A Ford body was vertically sectioned at least 16 inches to create the ultra-narrow profile that would fit between the racing tires. The car ran on much narrower tires back in the day and Wolf has both the original flame-cut Weld racing wheels and skinnier rubber to mount on the car when it is displayed in a museum setting.
