Once that big, heavy 9-inch Ford rear end was rolled out of the way, there was a gaping chasm to fill. Note the tired-out shocks hanging dejectedly and the '52 Ford gas tank that we finagled into place by turning it 90 degrees to match up with the filler tube in the left rear fender.
