The Conoco Tower Station and U-Drop Inn (named by a shoolboy in a contest) in Shamrock, Texas, were built in the 1930. The site was restored after it fell into disrepair in the 1990s. The station was the inspiration for Ramone's body shop in the movie "Cars."
