The chapel at Old Fort Reno outside El Reno, Okla., is one of the buildings restored after the fort was turned into an agricultural station. The fort began as a camp in 1874 during the Indian wars. It housed German and Italian prisoners during World War II. German POWs beat a fellow POW to death because they thought he was a traitor. His killers were tried and exec uted.
