Before I could get the driveline issues sorted out, Joe Newlon of Augusta, a Wheels page reader, steered me to Gary Knox of Andover, who had a low-mileage flathead V-8, overdrive transmission and rear end for sale. The engine and tranny looked pretty good on first inspection.
