What each team needs to do to win the North

Comments (0)

Kansas State (3-1)

The Wildcats need to focus on their two remaining home games. Five wins could be enough to win the division, and if they stay unbeaten at home they will finish no worse than 5-3.

Iowa State (2-2)

Keep pulling upsets and hope its rivals from the Sunflower State fall on hard times. The Cyclones have already lost to KU and K-State but can still claim tiebreakers over everyone else.

Kansas (1-2)

Hope 4-4 is good enough to tie for the top spot. It's hard to imagine the Jayhawks getting to five wins with trips to Texas Tech and Texas still on the schedule, but their three remaining North games are winnable.

Nebraska (1-2)

Brace for a home loss to Oklahoma but win every other game. That would make the Cornhuskers 5-3 with a tiebreaker over K-State. Baylor on the schedule helps.

Colorado (1-2)

The Buffaloes need to win their next two games to have a chance. They are at home against Missouri and Texas A&M.

Missouri (0-3)

The schedule eases up considerably the rest of the way, but the Tigers' room for error is gone. They need to win out or hope for Nebraska to stumble big time.
