Hi! Just when you thought Joanna Chadwick was providing enough blog coverage of the Class 6A tournament in Emporia, here I am. Since Joanna is giving you a lot of the play-by-play, I’ll provide you with the lighter side of the postseason. If you’re excited about reading some of the best humor I have to offer, click the jump:
The story of the day so far, and it’s in Class 5A so bear with me, is that Bishop Carroll boys coach Lonnie Lollar forgot his team’s jerseys in the trunk of his car back in Wichita. The Golden Eagles lost to Bishop Miege today and ended their season wearing the uniforms of Topeka Highland Park. I actually had a similar problem today. I forgot to put a shirt on this morning, but Duane Frazier was kind enough to loan me one of his 3,271 plaid shirts. Pocket protector included.
OK, that’s pretty much all I’ve got. Look for more humor to come later, and I’ll be live blogging during the Heights and Maize girls games later. But it’s slow for now because we don’t have an area team playing until 6:30. Same for tomorrow, unfortunately. Thanks for reading.
