The Wichita South girls’ defense turned it up against Eisenhower on Friday night, holding the Tigers to 16 first-half points en route to a 59-31 semifinal victory in the Topeka Invitational.
The Titans will face host Topeka in Saturday’s championship game.
Kirea Rogers led South with 12 points, while Ericka Mattingly had 11 points and Kendrian Elliott 10.
Jaden Damon had 13 points to lead Eisenhower, which will play Shawnee Mission South for third place.

Maize 50, Washburn Rural 37 – Keiryn Swenson scored 15 points to help Maize reach the championship game of the Spartan Classic in Emporia. The Eagles will meet Leavenworth on Saturday afternoon.
Collegiate 35, Circle 24 – Jewell Bolden scored 15 points to lead Collegiate and the Spartans didn’t allow Circle to score more than seven points in a quarter. Collegiate advances to the Bluestem Classic final against Gardner-Edgerton.
Goddard 56, Buhler 49 – Samantha Schwab scored 17 points to lead Goddard past Buhler and into the championship game at the Haven tournament. The Lions will meet Kingman in the title game.
El Dorado 43, Maranatha 34 – A strong fourth quarter helped the host Wildcats win a losers bracket game and move into Saturday’s fifth-place game. Jolie Howland had 13 points to lead El Dorado.
East 39, Augusta 22 – East held Augusta scoreless in the second quarter, building a 13-point halftime lead in an El Dorado losers bracket game. KayKay Ross had 11 points for East, which meets El Dorado for fifth place Saturday.
Cheney 66, Nickerson 38 – The Cardinals responded from a first-round loss at the Haven tournament to reach Saturday’s fifth-place game. Haley Albers had 17 points to lead Cheney.
Wellington 50, Rose Hill 38 – Avery Rusk scored 17 points and Lauryn Snipes had 16 as the Crusaders beat Rose Hill in a Haven losers bracket game. Rose Hill was held to 18 points through three quarters before tightening the game in the fourth quarter.
