Eisenhower blocked an Andover Central field-goal attempt in overtime, then successfully booted on itself to win 38-35 in double overtime for an Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail League Division II victory Friday night.
Central tied the game with 1:22 to play on Jace Brown’s 6-yard touchdown pass from Peyton Huslig. It was Huslig’s third TD pass to go with 212 yards.
Jake Jenkins scored two Eisenhower touchdowns and Drake Damon returned a kickoff 98 yards for another score.
Central’s Jordan Birch ran for 114 yards and two scores, while Eisenhower’s Josh Fatkin had 120 rushing yards.
Maize South 27, Arkansas City 7 – Korie Frausto and Jeremiah Fettke hooked up on two first-half touchdown passes. Frausto rushed for 110 yards and passed for 119.
Salina Central 59, Campus 0 – The visiting Colts were held to 126 total yards while giving up 434 to Central. Central took a 42-0 lead at halftime. Johnny Becker threw for 94 yards for Campus.
Collegiate 26, Clearwater 7 – Jaques Williams scored two 2-yard runs in the first quarter to help Collegiate run by host Clearwater. Williams added another 2-yard TD in the third quarter.
McPherson 46, El Dorado 7 — The visiting Wildcats were held to a fourth-quarter touchdown after McPherson scored 46 first-half points. Garrett Howland scored El Dorado’s touchdown on a 41-yard run. Kyler Kinnamon and Ty Hart each ahd two rushing TDs for the Bullpups.
Goddard 10, Valley Center 7 – The visiting Lions won their first Division II game behind a Daniel Weaver 34-yard field goal and a Dakota Driskill 1-yard run, both in the first half. Dylan Scheer threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Thayer Terwilliger for Valley Center’s fourth-quarter points. Driskill had 103 rushing yards, while Scheer had 160 passing yards.
Mulvane 48, Circle 6 – R.J. Rieger ran for three touchdowns and threw for another as the visiting Wildcats won. Austin Brown added two first-quarter touchdowns.
Buhler 48, Rose Hill 3 – Dillon Engelland rushed for 244 yards and three touchdowns, while quarterback Jace Williams added 122 and two scores for host Buhler. Williams also passed for 103 yards.
Central Plains League
Chaparral 16, Garden Plain 6 – Shawn Nulik scored two second-half touchdowns as the host Roadrunners overcame a 6-3 halftime deficit. Nulik carried 30 times for 130 yards and passed for 135 yards.
Conway Springs 53, Independent 21 – The visiting Cardinals stayed unbeaten behind 229 rushing yards and four touchdowns from senior Luke Fisher. Cade Dotson passed for 147 yards for Independent, while Chad Eikenberry had 79 receiving yards on 10 catches.
Hays 57, Wichita South 8 – South was held to negative yardage at halftime in a game played with a running clock in the fourth quarter.
