Taylor Needham scored 17 points and helped Cheney defeat Haven 47-42 in the semifinals of Haven’s tournament on Friday night.
Needham led the Cardinals to a fourth-quarter rally. Cheney trailed by two entering the period but outscored the Wildcats 15-8. Teammate Carlea Holt added 11 points.
Samantha Stallbaumer led Haven with 17 points.
Valley Center 39, Wichita East 29 — Valley Center built a first-half lead, withstood East’s third-quarter rally, and moved into Saturday’s El Dorado tournament final. Kylie Webber had 17 points to lead the Hornets, while Astrid Same led Easat with 10.

McPherson 45, Andale 34 — Hannah Willems had 17 points and led the host Bullpups to the championship of their own tournament. Brittany Meyer had 10 points to lead Andale.
Mill Valley 54, Circle 40 — Kate Wilson had 14 points but Circle fell to the El Dorado third-place game.
Derby 61, BV West 21 — Madi Greenwood had 16 points and Jade Winter had 13 to lead Derby to a losers bracket victory in the Highland Park tournament. A running clock was used in the fourth quarter.
Augusta 69, Wichita West 20 — Breanna Burkett scored 15 points as the Orioles won a losers bracket game in the El Dorado tournament. Alicia Ross led West with 13 points.
El Dorado 43, Wichita Collegiate 38 — Kayln Beel scored 14 points to lead El Dorado to victory in the El Dorado tournament losers bracket. Jewell Bolden had 13 for Collegiate.
Wichita Heights 76, Topeka West 21 — Kiersten Pauls scored 25 points in the Falcons’ win in the Emporia losers bracket. Heights outscored Topeka West 28-2 in the second quarter.
Lawrence 58, Wichita Southeast 38 — Southeast fell behind by 14 points in the opening quarter and couldn’t recover in the Emporia losers bracket. Kaylie Ines led Southeast with 13 points.
Leavenworth 56, Maize 52, OT — Maize led by seven at halftime, but couldn’t hold on in the Free State tournament semifinals in Lawrence. Keiryn Swenson scored 20 Brianna Johnson scored 13 and Jacey Handy 11 for Maize.
