Rain, rain, go away and don’t come back until after spring sports are finished!
So what I want to know today is what’s the best bit of advice you received regarding sports, in any aspect (as a player, a parent, a fan, whatever).
My most recent bit of advice was given to me a few months ago by former West wrestling coach Jeff Watkins. He told me to have my kids learn to throw and catch a baseball by using a hacky sack. It’s been amazing for my middle son. He’s not scared to catch the ball and his throwing has improved drastically because he was always throwing into the dirt about 7 feet in front of him. Now I tell him to throw at a person’s head and it goes right into the glove.
So what has worked for you? What advice has been interesting?
