Officials at Harvey County West Park are asking the public to help with an over-population of crappie and carp at the lake north of Burrton by having a Crappiethon Friday-Sunday.
Two person teams, with one being at least 18 years old, need to register to win prizes for teams that catch, and keep, the most fish. Registration at the lake will be 4-8 p.m. on Friday. Fishing can begin immediately after registration. The contest goes through 2 p.m. on Sunday.
To pre-register, or get more information, e-mail or call your names to firstname.lastname@example.org or 316-283-5420.
