Former Wichitan killed in boat accident

Former Wichitan Bob Morgan was one of two men killed Wednesday when their boat rolled and landed upside down in the Key West (Fla.) Super Boat World Championships. Morgan, who lived in Sunrise Beach, Mo., owned Big Thunder Marine, a 46-foot racing boat with four 1,200-horsepower engines. Also killed was Jeffrey Tillman, the driver of the boat from Kaiser, Mo.

Former Kansas freshman forward Braeden Anderson will attend Fresno State starting in the second semester and redshirt the rest of this season, Anderson told The Eagle in a text message. Anderson left KU in September after the Big 12 denied him the opportunity to be on scholarship because of academic issues relating to his high-school transcript.
