Winnipeg cruises to win over Wingnuts

The Wingnuts scored in the top of the first inning Thursday night, but didn’t score again and lost to the Goldeyes 7-1 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Wichita loaded the bases with one out in the first. Greg Porter’s sacrifice fly scored Ryan Khoury, then David Peralta grounded out to end the inning.

Winnipeg scored twice in the bottom of the first off Ryan Hinson, added two more in the fourth, then three in the seventh when Yurrendell de Caster hit a three-run homer.

The three-game series continues tonight.
