Lowey solid again in Wingnuts’ road win

Mike Conroy and Jared McDonald had four hits apiece and Josh Lowey pitched seven solid innings, leading the Wingnuts to a 10-5 win on Tuesday night at Amarillo.

Lowey (11-3) held the Sox to three hits and one unearned run while striking out eight as his teammates built a 10-1 lead after 7 1/2 innings.

Conroy had a double and a triple among his hits, scored twice and drove in two runs. Every Wingnuts starter had at least one hit and Wichita finished with 19 hits.

The Wingnuts improved their lead to three games in the American Association Central Division.
