Amarillo’s walk-off single sinks Wingnuts

Harrison Kain’s walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning lifted the Amarillo Sox to a 3-2 win over the Wichita Wingnuts on Sunday at Amarillo, Texas.

Kain went 3 for 4 with one RBI and Matthew Tucker went 2 for 4 for Amarillowith a home run in the first inning.

Amarillo starter Ryan Mitchell went 6 2/3 innings, giving up two earned runs and striking out nine.

Steve Carrillo led Wichita at the plate, going 2 for 4 with a double and a home run.

Jared Simon (1-2) took the loss for the Wichita Wingnuts, going just 1 1/3 innings.
