Former Wichita Wingnut Greg Porter went 2 for 4 with three RBIs to lead the Grand Prairie AirHogs to a 6-3 win over Wichita on Saturday at Grand Prairie, Texas.
Porter staked Grand Prairie to a 2-0 lead in the first inning with a two-RBI single with the bases loaded. The AirHogs added four more runs in the second inning.
The Wingnuts mounted a slight rally in the seventh inning, making the score 6-3 thanks to an RBI double from Josh Workman and a two-RBI double from Edwin Bellorin.
Mike Sherman was the losing pitcher for Wichita, lasting just 1 2/3 innings while giving up five hits and six earned runs. The series concludes tonight.
