Sioux Falls took and early lead and never let go for the second straight game, beating the Wingnuts 7-3 on Wednesday in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The Pheasants went ahead 3-0 in the second, then added three more in the fourth for a 6-1 lead. Gus Milner doubled in the second and homered off Wingnuts starter Ryan Hinson in the fourth, an inning that included two Wichita errors.
Eight Wingnuts had hits against Pheasants pitcher Brandon Rapoza, but he still threw a 104-pitch complete game.
The teams complete a three-game series tonight. The Wingnuts return home Friday night.
