The Saltdogs scored four runs in the fourth and beat the Wingnuts 5-2 on Saturday night in Lincoln, Neb.
Wichita starter Ryan Hinson retired the first 10 batters in order, but Curt Smith's home run to left-center started the four-run barrage that included three doubles and a walk.
The Wingnuts made it 4-2 in the fifth when Jorge Cortes hit a two-out double that scored Thomas Fitzgerald and Josh Horn.
The Wingnuts had at least one man on base in every inning but the first, but failed to capitalize.
Never miss a local story.
The teams wrap up their series this afternoon. The Wingnuts return home Monday night.
