Sioux Falls jumped on Wingnuts starting pitcher Luke Massetti for 10 runs in five innings and beat Wichtia 11-5 on Friday in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Sioux Falls scored four in the first and added four in the third. Wichita cut it to 8-3 in the top of the fifth, but the Pheasants tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Joe Anthonsen paced the Pheasants' 15-hit attack with four singles. He scored three runs.
Mike Bell had a pair of doubles and drove in three runs to continue his hot hitting with the Wingnuts — he's 12 for 26 in seven games since joining the team and has six two-hit games.
