Marcus Jackson rushed for 23 yards and a touchdown and added five receptions for 44 yards as the Wichita Wild earned a 59-41 road victory against the Allen Wranglers.

The win pulled the Wild (6-5) into a third-place tie with Allen (6-5) in the IFL’s Intense Conference with three games remaining.

Phil Staback completed 19 of 24 passes for 199 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Wichita jumped out to a 31-21 halftime lead, but Allen pulled to within three points in the third quarter.

Staback rushed for a 2-yard touchdown and then threw a 25-yard strike to Tim Timmons to add some cushion to the Wild’s lead. Callahan Bright capped Wichita’s scoring with a 1-yard run with 4 minutes, 40 second remaining.

Wichita held Allen’s Casey Printers — one of the league’s most efficient passers — to one completion in 15 attempts, including a pair of interceptions.

The Wild hosts Bloomington at Hartman Arena on June 2 and then finishes the season with a pair of road trips against New Mexico and Green Bay.
