The Central Hockey League is now under ownership of the league’s 10 franchise owners.

The franchise owners, as Central Partners LLC, bought the league from the Western Professional Hockey League for an undisclosed amount.

Rodney Steven II, one of the Thunder’s owners, will serve as interim chairman of Central Partners.

The CHL will begin its 22nd season in October. Earlier this week, the Brampton (Ontario) Beast and St. Charles (Mo.) Chill were introduced as new members while the Bloomington (Ill.) Blaze and Fort Worth Brahmas left the league.
