The Thunder scored two goals 1:24 apart in the second period, then added a shorthanded goal later in the period to knock out Quad City in a 4-2 victory Friday night in Moline, Ill.
Chris Greene gave the Thunder a 1-0 lead in the first period. Quad City pulled even early in the second period, but Dustin Donaghy put Wichita back on top less than a minute later, and Kevin Young’s power-play goal made in 3-1 at the 3:54 mark of the second.R.G. Flath got the shorthanded goal at 13:29 for a three-goal lead.
Bryan Hogan made 42 saves and improved to 8-1 since joining the Thunder from Dayton in late January.
The Thunder returns home for games tonight and Sunday against Arizona.
