Before the season, we asked Thunder fans to vote online for the top 20 players for 20 seasons. We’ll introduce one a week throughout the season.

No. 6: Brent Sapergia

The rare Thunder player to have played in the 1970s, Sapergia was a high-scoring part of Wichita’s two CHL championship teams. The Thunder was his 16th professional stop, and he didn’t disappoint by scoring 87 goals with 59 assists over 78 games. The right winger also compiled an identical 297 penalty minutes in each championship season. Sapergia once held the league record for high goals per game average (1.12) and was third in career penalty minutes.
