Wild grab road victory over Omaha

The Wichita Wild rolled to a 66-33 win over the Omaha Beef on Saturday in Omaha, Neb., as Wichita improved to 5-1 on the season in the CPIFL.
Joseph Kassanovoid grabbed Wichita’s first two touchdown passes from Rocky Hinds as the Wild took a 30-13 lead at halftime.
Butler Community College product Tywon Hubbard led the Wild with three rushing touchdowns on runs of 10, 1 and 2 yards and finished with 60 yards on 20 carries. Hinds threw for 106 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
Wichita exploded for 27 points in the fourth quarter to seal the victory, getting its last score on a 15-yard interception return for a touchdown by former Friends star Jeff Kontz.
Wichita hosts the Oklahoma Defenders next Saturday at 7 p.m. at Hartman Arena.
