The Missouri Comets scored the game's final four goals and beat the Wings 10-7 on Wednesday night in Independence, Mo.
Victor Quiroz scored two goals for Wichita and Jamie Harding hit a three-point goal as the Wings buit a 7-2 lead by the 5:55 mark of the third quarter. But Wichita didn't score in the game's final 24 minutes, allowing the Comets to rally.
A power-play goal pulled Missouri within 7-4 at 10:08 of the third. Geison cut the deficit to one point with a goal in the opening minute of the fourth quarter, and the Comets went ahead with just more than four minutes to play with Vahid Assadpour scored.
The teams face each other again Friday when the Wings play their first home game in four weeks.
