Bradford-less Oklahoma pounds Kansas

Comments (0)

- That was humbling. The Kansas offense, which entered the game ranked second nationally, finished with 306 total yards and just one garbage-time touchdown in a 35-13 loss to Oklahoma on Saturday.

When KU quarterback Todd Reesing finally found the end zone on a 5-yard run late in the fourth quarter, Memorial Stadium was half-full.

Reesing had already driven the sell-out crowd away with three interceptions in what was probably the worst showing of his sterling career.Reesing finished 22 of 42 for 224 yards, as OU put the clamps down on wide receivers Dezmon Briscoe (seven catches for 59 yards) and Kerry Meier (eight catches for 54 yards).

Reesing’s third interception was returned 85 yards for a touchdown by OU cornerback Dominique Franks to give the Sooners a 14-0 lead. Still, the Jayhawks only trailed 14-6 at the half thanks to some sturdy defense and field goals of 39 yards and 57 yards by KU kicker Jacob Branstetter.
