Jang wins by 3 in Japan; qualifies for Open

Okayama, Japan (SportsNetwork.com) - Dong-Kyu Jang closed with a 3-under 69 on Sunday and won the Mizuno Open by three strokes.
Jang finished at 15-under-par 273. With his first Japan Tour title, Jang qualified for this year's British Open.
Juvic Pagunsan shot 70 and took second at minus-12, while Hyung-Tae Kim (66) and Tomohiro Kondo (67) shared third at 11-under 277. All three of these players also qualified for the season's third major championship.
Jang converted back-to-back birdies at the second and third at JFE Setonaikai Golf Club. After three pars in a row, Jang birdied the seventh to move to minus-15.
Around the turn, he stumbled to bogeys at the 11th and 13th. Jang pulled away late as he birdied the last two holes to push his winning margin to three.
In-Hoi Hur closed with a 70 to grab fifth at 8-under 280. Yui Ueda (70), Michael Hendry (71) and Hirohi Iwata (73) shared sixth at minus-7.
