Belek, Turkey (SportsNetwork.com) - Oliver Farr carded a 2-under 70 on Sunday to win the Turkish Airlines Challenge by two strokes.
Farr earned his first career win on the European Challenge Tour at 2-under-par 286.
"It's been a tough week for my family," said Farr, who learned on Tuesday his grandfather died. "I was trying to do it for him and my family, to give them something to smile about, so it's a good feeling."
Third-round leader Jerome Lando Casanova tripped to a 3-over 75 in his final round at National Golf Club to fall into a tie with Dave Coupland (74) and Jeppe Huldahl (73) for second place at even-par 288.
Bjorn Akesson (74) and Moritz Lampert (72) shared fifth at plus-1.
Casanova's struggles allowed Farr to come from three shots behind at the start of the day to claim the title.
Farr opened his day with a bogey at the first and parred his next five holes before rolling in back-to-back birdies at the seventh and eighth. He bogeyed the ninth to make the turn at even par.
He again moved into red numbers with a birdie at the 11th and after trading a bogey at the 14th with a birdie at the 15th, Farr stuck his approach at the 18th to five feet and converted that birdie effort to earn his 2-stroke win.
