Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Champions Tour announced on Monday that the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship will move to Belmont Country Club, outside Boston, Mass. in 2015.
The Senior Players is one of five majors on the senior circuit. It will be played June 24-29 this year at Fox Chapel Golf Club.
"Pittsburgh has been a fantastic host for the Constellation Senior Players Championship, and we can't thank the community enough for their support over the last three years," said Joe Rotellini, Executive Director of the Constellation Senior Players. "Both the Champions Tour and Constellation have great ties to Boston, and we look forward to the tournament's next chapter there."
With this move, the Champions Tour returns to Boston for the first time since 2008, the final year of the Bank of America Championship, which had been played at Nashawtuc Country Club for nearly 25 years.
Kenny Perry won the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship last year by two strokes after firing a 6-under 64 in the final round.
