Wichita State senior Brianne Bond is one of 10 athletes to receive the Missouri Valley Conference Leadership and Service Spring Award.
Bond, a utility player from Columbia, Mo., carries a 3.68 grade-point average in communication sciences and disorders with a minor in sociology. She has served as a volunteer for Rainbows United, the Lord’s Diner, WSU’s Pen Pal Program and Habitat for Humanity.
The MVC honors 10 athletes in the fall, winter and spring for citizenship, community service and academics.
WSU volleyball player Katie Reilly was the fall recipient and Cara Detmer of the track and field team earned the honor for the winter schedule.
