Wichita State's Casey Gillaspie earns another All-America honor

Casey Gillaspie earned his fifth All-American honor, this one from the American Baseball Coaches Association.

Gillaspie, a first baseman and first-round draft choice of Tampa Bay, hit .389 with 15 home runs for Wichita State as a junior. He is the first Shocker on the ABCA’s first team since pitcher Mike Pelfrey in 2005.

Gillaspie also received first-team honors from Baseball America, Collegiate Baseball, Perfect Game and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
