Wichita State’s men’s basketball team will make three appearances on an ESPN network during Missouri Valley Conference play, according to the ESPN schedule announced by the conference.
WSU will also make three MVC appearances on ESPN3, the network’s Internet-based service. The Shockers could add a fourth appearance on ESPN2 or ESPNU on March 1 if its game against Missouri State is selected by the network. WSU will play Indiana State on Jan. 18 on either ESPN or ESPN2. On Feb. 1, it plays Evansville on ESPNU and plays at Northern Iowa on Feb. 8 on ESPN2. Games at Southern Illinois, Missouri State and Bradley will be available on ESPN3.
In non-conference games, WSU will play four games on ESPN2 or ESPNU, Western Kentucky, the CBE Classic final or third-place game, Tennessee and Alabama.
MVC games on Fox Sports Midwest should be announced soon.
The Valley also announced that its volleyball tournament, held at Koch Arena, will be shown on ESPN3.
