Wichita State volleyball sweeps VCU, Austin Peay

Wichita State’s volleyball team completed its sweep through the Lady Vol Classic in Knoxville, Tenn., beating Viriniga Commonwealth and Austin Peay on Saturday.
Ashley Andrade had 10 kills and Sam Sanders had eight as WSU beat Austin Peay 25-16, 25-8, 25-10 in the Shockers’ final match Saturday afternoon. WSU had a .356 attack percentage and held Austin Peay to -.074. Ten Shockers had at least one kill.
The Shockers beat VCU 25-17, 25-16, 25-22 on Saturday morning. Sanders and Chelsey Feekin had seven kills apiece, and Andrade had five block assists.
Wichita State began the tournament with a pair of 3-0 wins on Friday.
WSU (9-1) will play its first home match of the season at 6 p.m. Thursday against Missouri State.
