Women’s basketball assistant coach Kirk Crawford is back at Wichita State after a brief stay at Texas Tech.
Crawford left WSU for Texas Tech, joining the staff of new coach Candace Whitaker, in late June. On Friday, he resigned and cited family reasons for his decision to remain in Wichita.
“Just a three-week trip to Lubbock,” Crawford said. “I was fortunate to be able to come back.”
Crawford will enter his second season with the Shockers. He came to WSU after coaching at Drake during the 2011-12 season.
