Wichita State basketball moves annual awards ceremony to Koch Arena

A Final Four appearance has Wichita State thinking bigger in terms of its postseason awards ceremony.

Wichita State’s basketball team will hold its annual ceremony not in a banquet, as usual, but instead at Koch Arena next Monday in an event free to the public.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for the 6:30 ceremony. Annual awards will be recognized and speakers will include coach Gregg Marshall and players. Season highlights, including from the NCAA Tournament run that culminated with the school’s first Final Four appearance since 1965, will be aired on the videoboard.

WSU said players and coaches would not be available for autographs
