Shockers top Indiana State, one win from share of MVC title

The Wichita State women’s basketball team remained in first place in the Missouri Valley Conference with a 63-53 win over Indiana State on Sunday at Terre Haute, Ind.

Michaela Dapprich led the Shockers with a career-high 22 points, hitting 8 of 13 shots and four three-pointers. . Wichita State can win at least a share of the conference title for the first time in school history with a win at Missouri State on Saturday.

Alex Harden added 16 points, six rebounds and six assists for the Shockers. Anna Munn led Indiana State with 17 points. Wichita State improved to 20-9, 14-3 in MVC play, tying the school records for overall wins and conference victories. It was also the Shockers’ first win in Terre Haute since 2003.
