Wichita State volleyball player Sam Sanders did not practice Tuesday and coach Chris Lamb considers her status day to day.
Sanders did not play in Friday or Saturday’s matches with a shoulder injury. After practicing Thursday, Sanders couldn’t raise her right arm on Friday before the match at Indiana State. Lamb said tests from a Monday doctor’s visit came back negative.
“We’re just trying to figure out what’s going on,” Lamb said. “I told her to go home and go to bed (instead of watching practice). She said he feels a little bit better, but she didn’t want to take any swings in practice.”
WSU (18-7, 11-4 Missouri Valley Conference) plays Missouri State (15-12, 9-6) on Friday at Koch Arena.
WSU’s power rating (RPI) dropped three spots to No. 42 after splitting matches last weekend, losing at Illinois State. First-place Creighton is No. 32 and Northern Iowa is No. 46. Missouri State is No. 86.
WSU is 2-5 against teams in the top 50 and 6-5 against teams in the top 100.
