Never miss a local story.
* WSU has won six of the past seven games. The lone Bluejays victory came in last season's MVC Tournament, when Koenigstein no-hit WSU in an 11-0 victory. WSU won two of three games in Omaha in 2008 after losing the series in 2006 and 2004.
* Creighton is coming off a sweep of Evansville and has won four straight. Bluejay LF Trever Adams leads the team with a .354 batting average and 42 RBIs. A hamstring injury has kept CF Robbie Knight out of the lineup most of the season. Knight did not play in last weekend's series.
* Creighton leads the MVC in fielding with a .980 percentage (31 errors in 39 games). WSU ranks last at .965 (76 errors in 46 games).
