Volleyball player Camri Zwiesler, from Newton, will transfer from Arizona State to Wichita State.
"I missed my family and I missed my hometown," said Zwiesler, an outside hitter. "I have always been a Kansas girl."
Zwiesler (6-foot-2) will have two years of eligibility and will not have to sit out a season.
She played in 14 matches, starting six, for Arizona State as a sophomore. She averaged 2.11 kills a set with an attack percentage of .162. She is capable of playing in the back row, averaging 1.57 digs.
Never miss a local story.
"Going to Arizona State, it broadened my horizons," she said. "Two years down here is enough."
Zwiesler will reunite with many players she competed against in high school and club volleyball. She did not strongly consider WSU out of high school, but is well-acquainted with its success.
"It's great knowing so many people from Wichita and surrounding cities support that team," she said. "The atmosphere and the excitement is just amazing."
