MIAA

No. 8 Washburn (8-0, 7-0 MIAA) at No. 2 Northwest Missouri (8-0, 7-0) 2 p.m. — The Ichabods go into this mega-matchup having played one of the weakest schedules in the nation. Washburn has yet to play a team with a winning record and four of their wins have come against either winless or one-win teams. The Bearcats, on the other hand, already own wins over two ranked teams — No. 7 Pittsburg State and No. 23 Saginaw Valley State.

Other games

Central Missouri (4-4, 3-4) at Nebraska-Kearney (3-5, 3-4), noon

No. 14 Emporia State (7-0, 7-0) at No. 12 Missouri Western (7-1, 6-1), 1:30 p.m.

Lincoln (1-7, 0-7) at Central Oklahoma (0-7, 0-7), 2 p.m.

South Dakota Mines (4-4) at Fort Hays State (4-4), 2 p.m.

Lindenwood (3-5, 2-5) at Missouri Southern (5-3, 4-3), 2 p.m.

Southwest Baptist (1-7, 1-6) at Northeastern State (0-8, 0-7), 2 p.m.

Northwestern Oklahoma State (1-7, 1-6) at No. 7 Pittsburg State (7-1, 6-1), 2 p.m.

KCAC

No. 17 Friends (6-2, 5-1 KCAC) at Bethel (1-7, 0-6), 1:30 p.m. — Friends linebacker Marcus Carter is making his case for KCAC defensive player of the year with 78 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and three defensive touchdowns — two interception returns and a fumble return. But he’s not the only one that’s been making plays for the Falcons’ defense — Josh Hicks leads the team with 12 1/2 tackles for loss and Jarrell Holland isn’t far behind at 10 1/2.

No. 19 Sterling (6-2, 5-1) at McPherson (3-5, 2-4), 1:30 p.m. — Sterling is the surprise in the race for the KCAC title — one of four teams still tied for first place and just two years after going 1-10. The difference for the Warriors has been at the quarterback position, where 6-foot-3, 185-pound junior Reggie Langford has asserted himself as the premiere dual-threat quarterback in the KCAC. Langford, from Rancho Cordova, Calif., transferred to Sterling from American River College and has 1,661 yards of total offense — 860 rushing and 801 passing — and 19 total touchdowns.

Other games

Kansas Wesleyan (3-5, 2-4) at No. 11 Ottawa (6-2, 5-1), 1:30 p.m.

Bethany (1-7, 0-6) at No. 7 Tabor (7-1, 5-1), 1:30 p.m.

Saint Mary (4-4, 3-3) at Southwestern (4-4, 3-3), 1:30 p.m.
