Jayhawks’ rally falls short

Texas Tech’s Christine Hyde hit a shot with four seconds left to beat Kansas 72-70 on Sunday at Lawrence.

Kansas trailed 39-23 at halftime before rallying the second half. The Jayhawks were led in scoring by Angel Goodrich, who had 23 points, six assists and three steals. Monica Engelman added 15 points for Kansas.

Chynna Brown led Texas tech with 20 points, while Casey Morris had 19 points.

With the loss, Kansas falls to 16-10, 7-8 in the Big 12. Texas Tech improves to 20-7, 10-5.
