Quarterback Brock Berglund from Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch, Colo., has switched his commitment from Colorado to Kansas, according to the Denver Post.
Berglund committed to Colorado this summer, citing his relationship with offensive coordinator Eric Kiesau. But new coach Jon Embree replaced Kiesau with former Buffs running back Eric Bieniemy.
Rivals.com rates Berglund, who stands in at 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, with three stars and as the 13th-best dual-threat quarterback in the Class of 2011.
Berglund turned down offers from the likes of Boise State, Utah, Kansas State, UCLA and Tulsa to pick the Jayhawks. His addition should at least make KU feel better about its quarterback haul after losing out on Zack Stoudt, the No. 2 junior college quarterback in the country, last week.
KU will have Jordan Webb and Quinn Mecham returning to compete for the job with Berglund and fellow 2011 recruit Michael Cummings of Killeen, Texas. Former quarterback Kale Pick is slated to stay at wide receiver, where he moved near the end of this season.
