Kansas State wing Xavier Sneed will get some added experience before the start of his sophomore season.
Sneed will test his game at the international level over the next 10 days while he embarks on an exhibition tour of Belize with a group of other college players. He will play in five games with Sports Reach, a faith-based organization based in Kentucky that runs exhibition tours in various sports. The team will depart for the trip on Thursday and take on local competition before returning on Aug. 18.
The trip will feature stops in Belize City, Maruba and San Ignacio.
Other players on the Sports Reach team are former Kansas player Evan Maxwell, David Andoh of St. Bonaventure, Jalen Coates of Campbellsville, Andrew Hammond of Western Kentucky, Stedman Lowry of Hillsdale, Rob Marberry of Lipscomb, Evan Neaveu of Hillsdale and Wesley Person of Troy.
This will be Sneed’s second trip to a foreign country for basketball. K-State played a series of exhibition games in Italy last summer.
Sneed is coming off a freshman season in which he averaged 7.1 points and 2.6 rebounds.
