Kansas State football received a recruiting boost Thursday night.

Duke Shelley, a four-star cornerback from Tucker, Ga., orally committed to the Wildcats, announcing his decision on Twitter. He chose K-State over Oregon, Clemson, Louisville and a handful of other power-conference teams.

Shelley is a 5-foot-9, 155-pound defender known for both his coverage skills and his kick return talents. He is the 205th-rated high school senior in the nation and the 22nd-rated player at his position, according to Rivals. He becomes the 10th known member of K-State’s 2015 recruiting class. He is currently its highest rated player, according to multiple recruiting services.
