MANHATTAN — Jacob Pullen will begin his professional basketball career in Italy.
The former Kansas State guard, who left the Wildcats as the career scoring leader, signed with the Italian team Angelico Biella this morning.
Biella, a team that shares its name with a town located in northwest Italy, went 11-19 last season and is a member of the country's highest level pro league. Other Americans on its roster include Aubrey Coleman, a Houston product, and former Louisville standout Edgar Sosa.
"Jacob is a player who impressed us with his qualities on both sides of the field," said Biella CEO and general manager Angelico Biella in a translated statement.
Never miss a local story.
Last week, a false report surfaced that Pullen had signing with Antalya, a Turkish Basketball League club, but K-State athletic officials have confirmed Pullen's move to Italy.
Pullen went undrafted in the recent NBA Draft despite averaging 20.2 points and 3.7 assists as a senior.
