Kansas State: Coach Frank Martin said Saturday's overtime loss to Kansas was difficult to move on from at first. "Our feelings were hurt," Martin said. "We laid it on the line. When you lay it on the line, there should be pain." But as soon as the Wildcats hit the practice floor, the focus switched to Nebraska. "They were upbeat and attentive," Martin said. K-State knows it will need a strong effort against the Cornhuskers. It has lost three straight in Lincoln. Clemente has struggled to spread the ball around of late, recording seven assists in his last three games.
Nebraska: By defeating Oklahoma 63-46 in their last game, the Huskers ended an 0-5 start to Big 12 play. Nebraska is entering a brutal stretch of February games. Each of its next five games are against ranked opponents. Sophomore guard Brandon Richardson has scored 10 or more points in seven of his last 10 games. He had 16 against OU. NU's home losses are to Iowa State at Kansas.
RPIs as of Monday: K-State 8, Nebraska 29.
